Nick Rector

Nick Rector is a worship leader, songwriter, producer, catalyst, and recording artist with a heart to serve and amplify the sound of “Davids hidden in the hillsides.” Nick loves to create atmospheres where the Presence of the Holy Spirit is welcomed with creativity, excellence, and honesty - fueling extravagant worship. 

For over 16 years, Nick has worked in various ministry and church contexts, helping to catalyze, develop, and amplify the unique message God has given to significant ministries and connect that message to the global body of Christ. He is passionate about fostering cultures that are a magnet for creatives in worship leading, musicianship, music production, songwriting, media, messaging, marketing, brand strategy, visual arts, and all other facets of creative expression. 

Nick is the founder of Hillside Sound, a collective of gifted music producers serving local churches across the United States with worship consultation, music production, and remote livestream audio mixing. He serves as MAPS GLOBAL's lead producer and regularly leads worship in the prayer room. He is also the co-founder of Lowerstill, a division of Watershed Music Group.

Nick is married to Rose and has a son named Noah. In his free time, he loves spending time with family and friends, going for long runs through the country, watching movies, writing songs & creating music, playing video games with ministry friends across the country, and enjoying a lifestyle built on the rhythm of sabbath rest.
