We have a unique opportunity right now in this season to respond to God in a special way.
This is the only time in all of eternity that we get to worship through pain and uncertainty. You see, in eternity, in heaven, there’s no sickness. No disease. No lack. No fear. No death. And the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes.
Anyone can worship when things are going good but the strength of your worship is tested when times are hard. This makes our response to God in difficult times very important, and even special.
When we see hard situations as opportunities to grow in worship, instead of opportunities to complain, we mature in our relationship with Him.
In Luke 22:42 Jesus said this, “Father if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
Interesting that Jesus viewed the passion of the cross as a “cup” that the Father placed before Him to drink. And though He asked that it be removed, He preferred the Father’s will to be done over His – and as a result, chose to respond in worship through the pain.
Listen, there is much confusion and chaos right now, there is much uncertainty and for many, much pain and loss.
But remember, these are opportunities to respond in WORSHIP!
These are opportunities to respond in PRAISE!
These are opportunities to LIFT His name on high!
No matter what is going on around us, God is asking us to lean into Him and listen to His voice.
He’s watching to see how we will respond to everything going on around us. Will we fear the storm or will we sleep through the storm? Will we complain or will we worship? Will we grow closer to Him or grow more distant from Him? Will we accept the cup He has put before us or will we chose our own will over His?
It’s time for us to respond in worship, no matter what is happening around us.
Remember Philippians 3:10: “To know Christ and the power of His resurrection – and the fellowship of His sufferings!”
When we learn to find fellowship with Christ in pain we will also experience the fellowship in His resurrection power!
Let’s give Him a unique offering of worship that we only have the opportunity to give on this side of eternity.
Keep worshiping no matter what,
