Crystal Yates is a singer-songwriter and worship leader based in Dallas, TX area. Her life was radically saved and changed by the love of Jesus at 18. Since that day, she has not stopped writing songs. “The love of God saved me, healed me, and pulled me out of the darkest place and I have never looked back”, Crystal shares.
Crystal also releases Americana/Roots music. That music has opened doors for her to sing in venues, such as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, to share her stories, songs, and her testimony about how the love and mercy of Jesus saved her. Crystal expresses her goal of those performances by saying, “I want to connect with people on a heart level. It’s important for me to deliver songs & performances that touch the soul; that’s why I do this.”
Crystal’s passion is to empower others and she has been invited to speak, sing, and teach at conferences, women’s events, and churches.
She is also a mom of two boys and wife to Will Yates, who has produced multiple projects for Crystal as well as other artists. She is a Dove Award Nominated writer that has written on songs, such as, “I Got Saved” that was recorded by Selah and became a top 10 hit and a writer on “What Mercy Did For Me”, a song and video that quickly spread on social media and has since been recorded by multiple artists and churches. Crystal has also had other artists and churches such as Micah Tyler, Prestonwood Worship Choir, Charity Gayle, Julissa, Jason Crabb, and Corey Voss have released songs she has written.
